About the Role

The Test and Evaluation Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all test and evaluation activities to ensure systems, platforms, and capabilities meet operational requirements and performance standards. The role ensures compliance with relevant policies, standards, and safety regulations while delivering timely and accurate test results to support decision-making.

Requirements

The role requires experience in underwater weapons, specifically naval ground mines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Planning and Strategy

  • Develop and maintain the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).

  • Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria aligned with capability requirements and Functional Performance Specifications.


2. Coordination and Management

  • Liaise with test teams and testing agencies.

  • Coordinate test schedules, resources, and facilities to meet project timelines.


3. Execution and Oversight

  • Oversee the conduct of trials, experiments, and evaluations in accordance with approved plans.

  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and quality assurance standards during testing.


4. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Review and validate test data, analyse results, and prepare comprehensive reports.

  • Provide recommendations based on test outcomes to inform acquisition and operational decisions.


5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, and end-users to ensure test activities align with requirements.

  • Represent the organization at technical working groups and review boards.


6. Compliance and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with Defence/industry standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in T&E.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in managing complex test and evaluation programs.

Familiarity with Defence acquisition processes and standards
